The Tech Nation route of the Global Talent Visa allows talented digital technology professionals to live and work in the UK without employer sponsorship. This prestigious visa is designed for those who can demonstrate either exceptional talent (established leaders) or exceptional promise (emerging leaders) in the digital technology sector.
2026 Update: Tech Nation has expanded the digital technology criteria to include professionals in emerging fields such as quantum computing, blockchain, and advanced cyber security. New eligibility guidelines are also available for remote tech workers with global impact.
Digital Technology Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for endorsement from Tech Nation, you must satisfy one mandatory criterion and two optional criteria:
